Rakesh Koul slams Congress leaders for ignoring Hindu persecution in Bangladesh

Senior VP of JKNPF denounces Salman Khurshid’s remarks on India-Bangladesh weather.

Jammu, 07-08-2024 : Rakesh Koul, the Senior Vice President of JKNPF, ex-Sarpanch, and social activist, has issued a strong condemnation of the recent statements made by Salman Khurshid, the former External Affairs Minister of India, regarding the weather situation in Bangladesh and its implications for India. Koul expressed his deep concern over the calibre of individuals who have previously governed the Congress regime in India, suggesting that such statements reflect poorly on their leadership.

Koul also extended his criticism to former Chief Minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah, who he accused of supporting the current adverse situation in Bangladesh, where Hindus are reportedly being targeted, looted, and their houses set ablaze. He emphasized that individuals like Abdullah, who have previously been involved in governance, should not support such heinous activities under the guise of freedom of speech. Koul stated that these individuals have no moral right to leverage the freedom of speech given their alleged involvement in the genocide of Kashmiri Pandits.

Furthermore, Koul called on all pro-India and secular citizens to join him in condemning these incidents and the statements supporting them. He highlighted the need for a united front against such divisive and harmful rhetoric. In his statement, he also criticized another former Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, aligning her with Abdullah in their controversial stances.

Koul’s statements reflect a broader concern about the protection of minority communities in the region and a call for accountability from political leaders. His remarks underscore the importance of responsible leadership and the need for solidarity among pro-India and secular voices to oppose and condemn actions and statements that incite violence and division.
