AAP’s Lucky Oberoi Shot Dead in Jalandhar, Probe Underway
Unidentified attackers opened fire in Model Town police launch investigation into the killing.
Chandigarh, Feb 6: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Lucky Oberoi was shot dead on Friday morning after unidentified assailants opened fire outside a gurdwara in Jalandhar’s Model Town, police officials confirmed.
According to authorities, Oberoi had arrived at the shrine in his vehicle when two attackers riding a motorcycle approached and fired multiple rounds at him. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
Senior police officers said a probe has been initiated to identify the perpetrators and determine the motive behind the attack. Further details are awaited as the investigation progresses.
