Jammu, 23-10-2024: AIIMS Jammu has marked a significant milestone by commencing spine surgeries, setting a new benchmark for advanced medical care in the region. The first successful procedure was performed on a patient suffering from L5-S1 Prolapsed Intervertebral Disc (PIVD) with right-side radiculopathy, a condition causing debilitating back pain and nerve compression. The expert surgical team, led by Dr. Tarsem Lal Motten, Dr. Rashid Anjum, and Dr. Imran, worked in tandem with the anesthesia team, led by Dr. Sunana Gupta and supported by Dr. Sandeepika Dogra and Dr. Pallavi, to ensure patient safety and comfort.
