Anantnag Police Intensify Anti-Drug Drive with Large Scale Hotel Raids in Pahalgam

Anantnag, June 5: In a significant move against the illegal drug trade, Anantnag Police carried out a large scale anti-narcotics operation across several hotels and accommodation facilities in the Pahalgam Sub-Division on Friday.

The coordinated exercise was undertaken in prominent areas including Mavoora, Rafting Point, and Yanner, where law enforcement agencies conducted thorough inspections as part of their intensified campaign against substance abuse and narcotics trafficking.

According to police officials, six specialized teams were deployed for the operation under the supervision of the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Pahalgam. Acting on specific intelligence inputs, the teams inspected various hotel premises to verify compliance with regulations and ensure that hospitality establishments were not being exploited for unlawful activities linked to narcotics.
