Apple, Google Close to $1 Billion Deal to Power Siri with Advanced AI

The collaboration aims to transform Apple’s Siri with Google’s powerful 1.2 trillion parameter AI model, marking a major step in the company’s AI overhaul.

Mumbai, Nov 6 : Apple and Google are reportedly finalising a landmark agreement worth nearly $1 billion annually to upgrade Apple’s Siri voice assistant using Google’s cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology.
According to a report by The Business Times, the partnership will allow Apple to integrate Google’s 1.2 trillion parameter AI model  one of the most advanced systems developed by the tech giant  into Siri’s core functionality. The overhaul aims to make Siri more conversational, context-aware, and competitive against AI rivals such as ChatGPT and Amazon’s Alexa.
After months of evaluation and internal testing, Apple is said to be close to sealing the deal, which would grant it access to Google’s AI infrastructure for improving natural language processing and real-time user interaction.
The move reflects Apple’s renewed push to catch up in the generative AI space, with CEO Tim Cook recently confirming that the company plans to integrate advanced AI features across its ecosystem, including iPhones and Macs.
If finalised, this partnership could mark one of the most significant collaborations between the two tech rivals since Google became Apple’s default search engine provider  a relationship that has long drawn scrutiny from regulators.
