Bar Association Delegation Meets Dr. Jitendra Singh, Pushes for Legal Reforms in Jammu
JKHCBAJ Advocates Meet Dr. Jitendra Singh, Present Key Demands for Legal Infrastructure Upgrade
Jammu, 24th January 2025: The newly elected team of J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu, comprising of President K. Nirmal Kotwal, Vice President Baldev Singh, General Secretary Pardeep Majotra, Joint Secretary Anshu Mahajan and Treasurer Rahul Aggarwal called upon Dr. Jitendra Singh, Hon’ble Union Minister and presented a charter of demands and apprised the minister about the issues and concerns of the Advocates.
The minister was kind enough to give a patient hearing to the team and assured all kinds of assistance and cooperation.
The following demands were raised by the Bar Association:
1- Upgradation of Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) infrastructure, including construction of a multi-storey building to accommodate CAT at High Court Complex, Jammu.
2- Appointment of Senior Advocates as Members of the CAT.
3- Appointment of Young Lawyers as Standing Counsels for Central Government departments and autonomous bodies.
The team of JKHCBAJ thanked the Hon’ble Minister for giving a patient hearing and his assurance to address the concerns.
