BBIA Delegation Engages in Constructive Dialogue with Hon’ble LG, Sh. Manoj Sinha, JKUT

Jammu, 10-08-2024: A distinguished delegation from the Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA), led by Sh. Tarun Singla, Officiating President, held a significant meeting with Sh. Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory (JKUT), at his official chambers in Jammu. The meeting was also graced by the presence of Dr. Sanjay Bansal, National Board Member of NTWB, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, and National President of the Federation of Trade and Industry of India (FTII).

During this pivotal interaction, Sh. Tarun Singla passionately articulated several critical challenges faced by the industrial sector in the region. Among the foremost issues discussed were the urgent need for increased budgetary allocations for turnover incentives and the unjust denial of GST-linked incentives to units that have undergone substantial expansions.

In response, Sh. Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, listened attentively to the concerns raised by the BBIA delegation and assured that the administration is committed to taking swift and effective measures to resolve the issues highlighted by the Officiating President of BBIA.

Additionally, Sh. Tarun Singla expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor for his prompt intervention to rectify the issues concerning the NCSS portal, which had been causing significant delays and challenges for industrial units. Sh. Singla acknowledged the importance of the NCSS portal in streamlining industrial operations and emphasized that the proactive steps taken by the Hon’ble LG to address and resolve these technical issues will greatly benefit the industry and contribute to a more efficient and effective business environment in the region.

Furthermore, Dr. Sanjay Bansal brought to attention pressing matters related to the pending payments for hospitals and clinics empanelled under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, as well as the concerns regarding the relocation of warehouses.

Sh. Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, provided positive assurance, reiterating that all necessary actions would be taken to address the points raised by Sh. Tarun Singla and Dr. Bansal. This reflects the administration’s dedication to fostering a conducive environment for both industry and healthcare, ensuring that all sectors continue to thrive.
