BBIA terms J&K Budget 2026-27 “anti-industry,” flags neglect of existing industrial units

BBIA urges CM to provide handholding support to sustain local industries post NCSS-2021

Jammu, 06-02-2026: An Urgent  Meeting of Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) was held today under the presidency of Sh. Lalit Mahajan in the presence of Sh. Tarun Singla Sr. Vice President,  Sh. Ajay Langer, Vice President; Sh. Viraaj Malhotra, General Secretary, Sh. Rajesh Jain, Secretary and Sh. Rishi Kant Gupta, Treasurer, BBIA, and other members, in which the members have shown their grave concern in respect of totally neglecting the existing industrial sector of J&K in the Budget presented by Hon’ble Chief Minister, J&K, today & we termed it as “anti-industry.”

While going through the Budget Proposal it is very unfortunate that no provision has been done for the Extension of State Turnover Incentive which is valid upto 31-03-2026 and Interest Subversion under the NCSS-2021 for Existing Industries in spite of various Representations and threadbare discussions held in the  Pre-Budget Meetings in spite of assurance given by Govt. from time to time for the continuation of State/Central Fiscal Incentives upto 31-03-2031 as Hand Holding Support to Local Exciting MSME Units working in the  Hostile conditions  since 1990 providing employment to Lakh of Local People of the State.

We appeal to the Hon’ble Chief Minster that while finalization of  amendments to the J&K Industrial Policy 2021–30, It is the need of the Hour to extend the Turnover Incentive / Interest Subvention upto 31-03-2035 and Reimbursement of Road Freight on the incoming Raw materials to sustain industrial growth  of Existing Working  Units for their survival  post NCSS-2021 scenario as the Existing Units suffering very badly due to stiff competition from the New Units set up under NCSS-2021 Policy of Govt. of India, ensuring continued employment and income security.
