BJP crushed people of country with huge taxations, price rise and huge unemployment : Congress 

Jammu, April 07, 2023:- Congress today organized series of protest rallies, dharnas & satyagraha across the Jammu region as part of nationwide Jai Bharat Satyagraha over vendetta politics of BJP and  it’s anti-poor, anti-youth, and anti-people policies like unprecedented price rise, record unemployment and huge taxations on common people.

The protest rallies and dharnas were held at  Janipur, Paloura, Khour,  Poonch, Manjakote and Udhampur among several other places in the region.

The rally at Janipur was led by Raman Bhalla and attended by  Yogesh Sawhney, Th Balwan Singh, Ravinder Sharma, Vinod Sharma, Udey Chib, Sanjeev Panda, which was  organised by H S Baggi.

Rally at  Ploura was organized by Th Hari Singh Chib DCC president and led by Shri Raman Bhalla besides Former Minister Shri Mula Ram,  Ravinder Sharma,  Rajnish Sharma, Yogesh Sawhney, Uttam Singh Chib,  Rajinder Happy, Som Raj Sharma.

The rally at Khour was led by DCC President Hari Singh Chib, Satish Sharma, and Kuldeep Verma,  while at Poonch by Shri Pawan Raina  Incharge Dist pand Adv Ajaz Kataria.

At Udhampur district by Krishan Bhagat Ex MLA & Balbir Singh. While addressing these rallies Working President Shri Raman Bhalla, questioned PM Modi and entire BJP for it’s silence over the Adani issue and asked Prime Minister to answer the questions raised by Rahul Gandhi in the house. He said asking questions in the country , under BJP government, has become a crime. If you ask uncomfortable and unfavourable questions in the house, you are shouted down, your speech is expunged and your are suspended and thrown out. If you speak outside in public, you are booked and punished. All agencies are misused and pressurized to silence the opposition. Going to people is the only option to protect freedom of speech and right to ask questions to the government, which is most precious right.

He (Bhalla) said that people are being crushed through various means and burdened with huge taxations, price rise and huge unemployment while their representatives are being booked, intimidated, threatened, booked, jailed etc. The opposition together represents more population than the ruling govt ,as their vote share, put together , is higher than govt but they are not allowed to raise real issues of public concern. The people should rise against the oppressive and anti democratic measures being adopted to save democracy. He also lambasted Modi govt for its anti democracy and dictatorial policies and said people are the best answer to this regime.

Shri Mula Ram in his address said that  Modi govt came to power with the slogan of “Congress Mukt Bharat’ but in fact It wants opposition Mukt Bharat and has been continuously perusing the agenda since it came to power. In the run up to the next year general election, it has intensified to crush the voice of opposition especially Congress party and it’s fearless leadership of Shri Rahul Gandhi. Mula Ram observed that the successful Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir,led by  Shri Rahul Gandhi, has un- nerved  the  BJP and so it’s attack on democracy, ,constitution and Rahul Gandhi intensified. Furthermore, the Modi govt  got frustrated by the questions & exposure  of Modi – Adani  relationship in The Lok Sabha by Shri Rahul Gandhi on 7th Feb.

Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma in his address said that suppressing the voice of opposition means suppressing the voice of majority people of this country. The Congress party and  Shri Rahul Gandhi has always raised the issues of common people of all sections, during nine years of BJP regime , be it farmers, youth, business class, working class and issues of greater public concern” he said. He reminded that the Modi govt which came into power to bring black money and bring transparency and end corruption, failed to bring back  and recover from those who fled from the country looting the thousands of crores of tax payers money from our banks. “Lakhs of crores of loans  were waived off while the poor farmers and others are chased by the banks in case of any default for small loans” he pointed out.

Shri Yogesh Sawhney, while speaking on the occasion said that instead of  replying to the serious issue raised by Rahul Gandhi on Adani, the Modi govt  & BJP hatched the entire drama,so that PM  has not to reply to Rahul’s questions . He expressed surprise that within 24 hours of conviction, , he was disqualified and in next 48 hours, he was asked to vacate his residence. Rahul Gandhi and Congress party will always follow rule of law. But why it is different for Rahul Gandhi and Congress and opposition and different for ruling party and it’s allies. There are examples of people being favoured with palatial bungalows after years of ceasing to have entitlements and even fresh allotments without entitlements.

President DCC Jammu Rural Shri Hari Singh Chib, asked people from all sections of society to come, join the Congress struggle for democracy, constitution and freedom of individual citizens and safeguard the  assets and tax payers money”.He lashed out at the BJP and Modi  government for unleashing an undeclared emergency in the country. He said that Modi government wants to crush the opposition by hook or crook and misusing the constitutional and other agencies to suppress the opposition leaders and implicate them in false cases. Modi government wants to silence all those who speak against the government and the freedom of speech has been curtailed and common citizens have no right to speak against government and it’s policies.

JKPYC President Uday Bhanu Chib said BJP can silence the voice of Rahul Gandhi in the parliament but can’t silence his voice amongst 1.40cr citizens of this country. Congress party shall continue its Satyagrah to protect the freedom of the common citizens of this country. He strongly criticized the modi government for it’s dictatorial policies to crush the voice of dissent in the country. He said Congress party under the Leadership of Rahul Gandhi shall continue to fight for the rights of the people and raise the issues of common people, youth poor people despite all attempts to crush the voice of opposition. Chib said that Congress will not be cowed down by the authoritarian policies of Modi Government and we shall fight out such anti democratic policies of BJP. He said that congress party shall continue to fight to protect freedom of speech and dissent in this country.

Satish Sharma lashed out the anti people approach and decisions of BJP Govt. and the politics of vendetta of BJP government. He said that BJP will be wiped out in Jammu Kashmir whenever elections are held and this is reason behind delay in assembly elections. “There is serious attack on the democracy and the Constitution and the rights of citizens especially on the right to express freely and the right to protest” Congress leader said.”Throughout the country, Congress party has further launched month long Jai Bharat Satyagrah, against the Modi govt’s politics of vendetta and suppression of the voice of opposition, he said.
