BJP felicitates medalists Shreya Gupta, Kartik Sharma
09-09-2022: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir led by its President Ravinder Raina, former Dy. CM Kavinder Gupta, J&K BJP Vice-President Sham Lal Choudhary, BJP NEM & Headquarter Incharge Priya Sethi, and other party leaders felicitated the players Shreya Gupta and Kartik Sharma who recently won medals in International tournaments.
J&K BJP Secretary Arvind Gupta, Office Secretary Tilak Raj Gupta, Media Secretary Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Additional Publicity Secretary Ayodhya Gupta, Library Incharge Prof. Kul Bhushan Mohtra, JMC Councillor Pramod Kapahi, BJYM leader Gourav Pargal accompanied senior leaders while felicitating the medalists.
Mukerjee Sharma President J&K amateur fencing association, Arch. Sanjay Gupta (Father of Shreya Gupta), Rohit Mahajan- A social activist, and others were also present on the occasion.
Ravinder Raina while felicitating Shreya Gupta said that hailing from the Talab Tillo area has won a bronze medal in fencing in the Commonwealth games. He said that she has prompted other girl children to excel in their respective fields.
Ravinder Raina while felicitating Kartik Sharma said that hailing from a remote border village Bernoti of Nowshera, has captained the Under 18 Volleyball team and won a medal in Iran in International Tournament.
Raina said that both the players have played professionally, winning medals for the Nation and making us all proud. These young players have boosted the morale of all the youth and budding players of the region. They have brought laurels at a young age and we wish them all good luck for their future. He also presented mementos to both the players for their performances.
Shreya Gupta thanked Ravinder Raina, Kavinder Gupta, and other senior leaders for boosting her morale and reaffirmed that she will make everybody proud.
Kartik Sharma thanked all the senior BJP leaders for felicitating him. He said that they won the medal in the 14th youth Asian Championship.
Mukerjee Sharma said that Fencing is a full-fledged game played in OLYMPICS, ASIAN GAMES, COMMONWEALTH, SAIF & All other major events in the world. In JK(UT) there are about 3000 fences and they have bagged hundreds of medals in National & International events.
