BJP National General Secretary Warns Mehbooba Mufti Over Alleged Attempts to Incite Public Sentiments Against Supreme Court’s Article 370 Decision

19-12-2023 : BJP National General Secretary and Ladakh in-charge, Tarun Chugh, issued a stern warning to former J&K Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, cautioning against inciting public sentiments against the Supreme Court’s decision on the abrogation of Article 370.

Chugh urged the Abdullah, Mufti, and Gandhi-Nehru family to refrain from provoking people regarding the historic decision. Responding to Mufti’s statement questioning the Supreme Court’s decision, Chugh accused her of indirectly trying to incite the people of Jammu and Kashmir against constitutional institutions, labeling it an insult.

He questioned if Mufti’s actions were influenced by Pakistan’s ISI and called for a shift towards discussions on Indian nationalism instead of serving external interests. Chugh highlighted the positive impact of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies in fostering peace, development, and trust in Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing the need to move away from misleading narratives propagated by certain political families.
