BJP silenced Jats, Sikhs voice by reserving constituencies dominated by them: Tony
Congress will do justice with them
SUCHETGARH, MAR 10: Taranjit Singh Tony, General Secretary of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) and Member District Development Council (DDC) Jammu has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of silencing the voice of Jat and Sikh communities by reserving the constituencies dominated by the members of these communities. Asserting that the saffron party has virtually crushed these communities, he said that the people in general and the members of the aforesaid communities in particular are waiting to teach the party a lesson in the upcoming Parliamentary elections for their divisive and anti-people policies.
The senior Congress leader expressed this while addressing a gathering after kick-starting black-topping work of road near zero-line at Village Abdal in Suchetgarh. It is pertinent to mention here that the said project is estimated to be completed at a cost of Rs. 1.46 crore.
Taranjit Singh Tony asserted that the draft for delimitation of constituencies in J&K was prepared by BJP in close connivance RSS people and duly authenticated by the Delimitation Commission headed by Ranjana Desai. He said that all this was done intentionally done by the BJP as part of their negative politics and anti-people policies adopted by the party during the past ten years.
The BJP leader stated that what never ever happened during the seventy years of Congress rule has been witnessed during the past ten years with honesty having becoming the thing of the past besides corruption under the Brashtachari Jodo party ruling the roost. He made a fervent appeal to the people to vote for the Congress in upcoming Lok Sabha polls bringing it to power to end the miseries thrust by the BJP on the people of J&K as well as the whole nation.
