29-09-2023 : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Disciplinary Committee has taken a significant step by issuing notices to eight party members in Kashmir who have been identified as rebels. This move comes from the party’s headquarters and is a response to allegations of indiscipline and activities that are perceived as detrimental to the party’s discipline and trust within its leadership.
The individuals who have received these notices are GM Mir, Dr. Ali Mohd Mir, Altaf Thakur, Asif Masoodi, Arif Raja, Anwar Khan, Manzoor Bhat, and Bilal Parray.
The notices issued by the Disciplinary Committee underscore the seriousness of the allegations against these party members. It points out that their actions have raised concerns about their commitment to the party’s principles and leadership. The committee acknowledges the positions these individuals hold within the party and their past contributions but emphasizes the need to address the current issue of indiscipline.
In response to these allegations, the Disciplinary Committee has decided to grant these individuals an opportunity to submit an unconditional apology for their conduct and an assurance that they will refrain from engaging in any such activities in the future. Failure to do so will result in the initiation of formal proceedings against them, which could lead to their removal from official positions within the Bharatiya Janata Party, and in more severe cases, expulsion from the party itself if the allegations of indiscipline are substantiated.
The individuals in question have been given one week to provide their unconditional apology and future commitment to the party’s principles. The notices have been served through WhatsApp, and no separate service of notice will be undertaken.
The BJP Disciplinary Committee responsible for this action is chaired by Sunil Sethi, with Aseem Gupta and Rekha Mahajan serving as committee members. This move underscores the party’s commitment to maintaining discipline and unity within its ranks while addressing any issues of indiscipline in a fair and transparent manner.
