BJY opened door for people to vent their anger and frustration: Bhalla
JKPCC Working President thanks people of J&K for huge support to BJY in J&K
Jammu, 31-01-2023 : JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla today appreciated J&K people’s huge participation and their support at large scale braving rain, snow and even other adversaries during `Bharat Jodo Yatra’, from Lakhanpur to Kashmir valley, terming it a fight against hate and divisive politics of BJP. Huge crowd of men, women, young, elderly and even children proved that the anger against the BJP was pulling out people from their homes, despite severe cold. The Bharat Jodo Yatra, which culminated in Srinagar, has opened a door for many people to escape the prevailing political uncertainty and vent their anger and frustration, added Bhalla.
Stating that Congress Party is fully capable to overcome divisive and exploitative politics of BJP in the country, Bhalla hailed people of J&K for coming forward to support Congress Party in its endeavors and commitment to ensure dignified life and justice to people of J&K assuring to strengthen Congress Party for the inclusive development of J&K. He expressed hearty gratitude to people of J&K for their overwhelming response and their presence in BJY, terming it a strong message to BJP and its undeclared associates that their divisive and exploitative politics won’t last long, as that, people have realized that there is no alternative to Congress Party which is fully committed to a dignified life to people while standing guarantee to safeguard democratic rights of every citizen irrespective of their caste, colour or religion, living in the country.
Bhalla said Bharat Jodo Yatra was a great initiative of Rahul Gandhi to overcome the hate politics and get rid of the wrong and divisive policies confronting Nation which was supported by cross sections of society including socio political groups, NGOs and other right-thinking people. He said Congress believes in transparent and principal-based politics. It will continue to perform its duty of serving and uniting people, which is the core of its pro people programmes and policies, Bhalla added and assured that the Congress will do everything to ensure justice and safeguarding democratic rights of people. He said that BJP has got unnerved due to massive response to Bharat jodo yatra which has left BJP politically isolated especially în Jammu and Kashmir, due to the decision of major mainstream parties to join.
The BJP is questing the decision of their former allies joining Yatra, knowing that this Yatra is apolitical & has already become a historical Jan andolan în the country against BJP government’s anti people, anti youth ,anti poor policies and exclusive programmes, said Bhalla. He said that BJY being Jan Andolan was open for everyone to join, who were în agreement with the public Issues and sufferings of people, raised by Shri Rahul Gandhi but BJP has problem în this too, when regional parties & several others decided to join it în J&K, as BJP feels isolated în the situation. He said people joined Yatra în J&K to highlight the issues of farmers being evicted from their lands after decades, new HR policy for anganwadi workers , NYC, Daily wagers, adhoc, Contratuals, NHM, Home guards and various other similar sections suffering due to anti youth, anti employees, anti farmer and anti poor policies of present dispensation în J&K.
Bhalla said the tremendous response the yatra has received from people has panicked the ruling BJP, which did everything possible to harm Gandhi’s image and using diversionary tactics to mislead the public from the real issues they are facing today. The response of the people to the yatra in the BJP-ruled states was unprecedented and so has been the case when it arrived in Jammu and Kashmir. We saw people being pushed back at several places, but they did not pay any heed and came out in large numbers to join Gandhi,” Bhalla said. “J&K has become an attached office of the Union home ministry. There are real issues like when the assembly elections will be held in the Union Territory and how will it get back full statehood,” he added.
