BSF Wives Welfare Association Celebrates BWWA Day with Cultural Fest in Udhampur
UDHAMPUR, Sept 21: The BSF Wives Welfare Association (BWWA) Day was celebrated with much enthusiasm and grandeur at the STC BSF in Udhampur, under the leadership of Deepshikha Gurung, the Head of BWWA. The event saw active participation from the wives of BSF personnel stationed at STC, along with their children, creating a lively and joyous atmosphere.
A vibrant cultural program, featuring performances by Prahari Sanginis (wives of BSF personnel) and their children, captivated the audience. Their performances, filled with spirit and energy, were met with applause and appreciation from the gathered crowd. In a touching gesture, Deepshikha Gurung honored the Virangnas, the brave widows of martyred BSF personnel from the Udhampur region. She personally interacted with them, inquiring about their well-being and expressing the association’s unwavering support. She assured them that BWWA will continue its mission to provide all possible assistance to the families and children of Prahari Sanginis and Virangnas, ensuring that their needs are met with care and compassion.
BWWA, established on September 18, 1992, was founded with the goal of creating employment opportunities and welfare for the wives of BSF personnel.
