Building Awareness: GDC Dudu Basantgarh Symposium Raises Alarm on Detrimental Effects of Substance Misuse

GDC Dudu Basantgarh, 27-03-2024: One-day symposium was held in the GDC Dudu Basantgarh. The students of the college participated in the symposium with zeal and enthusiasm. 

Prof. Zahoor Ahmed delivered a lecture to the students about the harmful effects of drug abuse. He impressed upon the students to refrain from drugs in the future and quoted an example of how a rotten apple spoils the remaining apples packed in a container. 

Two students of the college also spoke on the occasion and expressed their views on this burning topic.

Speaking on the occasion Principal of the college Prof. Anirudh Sharma advised students to concentrate on their studies and refrain from using drugs in the future. A drug addict becomes a parasite in society and ultimately loses his life causing grief and pain to the parents. He asked them to take a pledge that they would never use any harmful substance. Prof. Pradeep, Prof. Tariq, Prof. Iqbal, Prof.  Mehraj, Prof. Nisar, Prof. Mushtaq, and Prof. Vidisha were also on the occasion. Prof. Pradeep Kumar presented a vote of thanks.
