CDS Gen Subramani Reviews Operational Preparedness at Central Command HQ in Lucknow
Gen Subramani discusses operational readiness, logistics, healthcare infrastructure and military civil coordination during Lucknow visit.
LUCKNOW, Sept 22: Chief of Defence Staff General N S Raja Subramani reviewed the operational preparedness and logistics capabilities of the Indian Army’s Central Command headquarters during his visit to Lucknow on Tuesday, the Defence Ministry said.
Gen Subramani held discussions with Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, General Officer Commanding in Chief of Central Command, and other senior officers on operational readiness, capability development and the evolving security environment.
The CDS also inspected the under construction Central Command hospital and received an update on the project’s progress and the healthcare facilities planned under the initiative.
During his Lucknow visit, Gen Subramani also met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The two discussed matters of mutual interest, with particular focus on strengthening coordination between the armed forces and the state government.
The Defence Ministry said the interaction highlighted the importance of continued military civil cooperation in pursuing shared institutional and developmental objectives.
