15-03-2023 : The birthday of Bahujan Nayak Manyavar Kanshi Ram was celebrated by Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Bahu Fort in the premises of Gurudwara Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj Bahu Fort Jammu. While speaking on this occasion Sham lal Basson general secy SGRDS Bahu Fort said that Manyawar Kanshi Ram Saheb fought for the upliftment of downtrodden people of SC ST OBC for the whole of his life, He toured all the states of the country on the bicycle and awakened the poor masses about their rights.
He followed the path shown by Bharat Ratan Baba Saheb Dr. B R Ambedkar, Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phule, Shahu ji Maharaj, Periyar EV Ramaswami Naiker. There was large-scale discrimination against these people. Now Bahujan people know their rights to some extent and the rest are ignorant about their rights even today. Large-scale discrimination is still prevailing in most of the states. Like Baba Saheb, he also said that political power is a master key with which you can open all locks. Prof Chaman Lal Shivgotra and S Lokinder Singh Ravi also addressed the gathering and said that we should follow the path shown by Sh Kanshi Ram ji. Manyawar Kanshi Ram Ji remained unmarried throughout his life, never went to his home, and served poor people of SC ST OBC and minorities throughout his life. At the time of his death, he had only two kameez two Pajamas, and two lungis. This was his total wealth. He was the person who carried forward the ideology of Baba Saheb, Shahu ji Maharaj, and Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phule. Politically he was a well-awakened person.
It is the need of hour to follow the philosophy of Manyawar Kanshi Ram Saheb. Those who paid tributes included Lokinder Singh Ravi Retd ADG GSI, Sh Mohan Lal Retd Col. Sh Ashok Kumar Retd Capt, Moti Ram Angral, Ram Lal Tej Ram Kalsi, Sat Paul, Manoj Kumar, and others.
