Chamber Requests 20% Land Reservation for MSMEs in Industrial Development, Advocates Preference for Local Entrepreneurs in Land Allotment Process

Chamber Lauds Administrative Council's Resolution of Khad Land Issue, Urges Swift Action on Execution of Lease Deeds for JDA and State Properties

Jammu. 3rd August 2024: At the outset, Chamber appreciates the efforts of the LG administration for conducting the ongoing Baba Amarnath yatra smoothly which has crossed more than 5 lakh pilgrims. It has become possible with the help and initiative of the people of Jammu.

The Chamber of Commerce & Industry is pleased to know that the OPD services in AIIMS at Vijaypur Jammu have started. Sh. Arun Gupta President Chamber of Commerce & Industry expressed gratitude to Hon’ble LG Sh. Manoj Sinha Ji and Sh. J.P.Nadda, Hon’ble Union Health and Family Welfare Minister, Dr. Jatinder Singh, Hon’ble MOS in Prime Minister Office, and Sh. Jugal Sharma, Hon’ble Member Parliament with whose efforts the long pending demand of the people of Jammu has now been fulfilled. He also appreciates Dr. Shakti Gupta for taking every possible step to start OPD services in AIIMS.  Sh. Arun Gupta further said that with the start of OPD services in AIIMS here thousands of patients who were forced to visit other parts of the country to get specialized treatment shall now be able to get treatment in AIIMS at Vijaypur Jammu without wasting their time and hard-earned money.

While commending the decision of the administrative council headed by Hon’ble LG Sh. Manoj Sinha for resolving the issue of Khad Land, Chamber requests that the issue regarding the execution of lease deed in respect of JDA and other state properties be resolved on the same pattern without any further delay.

Chamber of Commerce & Industry expresses gratitude to Sh. Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble LG UT of J&K for resolving the issue of 39 shopkeepers of Nai Basti who were asked to vacate these 39 shops by or before 29 July failing which action shall be initiated under the provisions of the National Highway Act 1956. The Chamber has taken up this issue of displacement of these 39 shop owners of Nai Basti with Hon’ble LG Saheb to consider the same issue sympathetically and resolve the same at the earliest.

The chamber also requests that while developing the land for Industries 20% of land should be kept reserved for the MSME units and during the allotment process of land for industries the local sons of the soil should be given preference.

Sh. Arun Gupta also congratulates Hon’ble LG Sh. Manoj Sinha Ji for launching the new film policy 2024 while inaugurating the J&K Film Festival at SKICC Srinagar. Sh. Arun Gupta said that the new intervention taken by the LG Administration shall play a pivotal role in developing Jammu and Kashmir as a global film production hub. Sh. Arun Gupta also said that Jammu has a lot of beautiful scenic beauty places with captivating views like Kashmir Valley which ought to be popularized through print and electronic media so that the Bollywood film shooters are attracted to utilize these places for shooting their films. This will give a boost to the local trade, and tourism and will also generate employment opportunities for the unemployed educated youth.

The chamber also demands to announce a power amnesty scheme for commercial users (Traders and Industrialists) on the pattern of the power amnesty scheme announced earlier for domestic consumers.
