Danish Pandor Injured During Intense Dhurandhar 2 Scene, Recalls ‘Terrifying’ Thumb Injury

Actor opens up about filming a disturbing real-life inspired sequence and the injury he suffered during the shoot.

Mumbai, Mar 25 : As Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues its strong box office run, actor Danish Pandor has revealed the challenges behind one of the film’s most intense sequences, where he portrays gangster Uzair Baloch.

The controversial scene, based on a real life incident involving the killing of Arshad Pappu, has drawn attention for its graphic and realistic depiction. Danish admitted that even reading about the incident initially left him shaken. However, he gradually immersed himself in the character to bring authenticity to the performance.

Speaking about his acting approach, Danish said he relied on instinct rather than reviewing takes on the monitor. He focused on staying in the moment, taking cues from director Aditya Dhar, and trusting his reactions during filming. The sequence also involved significant preparation and improvisation by the team.

The physically demanding shoot led to an on-set injury, with Danish revealing he hurt his thumb while performing the scene. He was immediately taken to the hospital, and the injury took over two months to heal. The actor acknowledged that he briefly lost control during the high-intensity moment, which resulted in the mishap.

Despite the setback, he credited the film’s team for their support during his recovery.

The film, featuring Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R Madhavan, has emerged as a major commercial success since its release on March 19, crossing ₹500 crore net in India and nearing ₹830 crore globally.
