Deputy Mayor Jammu Meets Yuva Rajput Sabha, Discusses Maintenance of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji Statue
Jammu, 15-07-2023 : Deputy Mayor Jammu Baldev Singh Billawaria met with the delegation from J&K Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS) to discuss their demand for maintenance work at the site of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji Statue at Tawi Bridge in Jammu city.
The members of Yuva Rajput Sabha expressed his gratitude to the Deputy Mayor Jammu Baldev Singh Billawaria for considering the maintenance work and incorporating it into the Smart City project. Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS) has been actively working for the preservation and upkeep of the Maharaja Hari Singh Ji Statue, which holds immense historical and cultural significance. The members of Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS) further stated that some non-needy things which are also installed near Maharaja Hari Singh Ji statue and our National Flag. On which YRS demands further to remove those unwanted poles, Electric Poles which are not required near statues and the advertisement boards of JMC, due to these unwanted things the beauty of that site is not looking so good and they are dangerous for the people who come there. They also said that instead of advertisement boards JMC installed a Historical contribution of Dogra Rulers in Electric Display Board so that the tourist and the people of Jammu who came on the site can see the contribution of our Ruler’s and they also pay tribute to our Maharaja Sahab & keep clean and well maintenance of our Dogra Heritage Sites, Maharaja’s Statue’s and our Dogra Warrior’s Statue’s.
During the meeting, the Deputy Mayor Jammu assured the delegation that their concerns would be thoroughly addressed and appropriate action would be taken to rectify the situation. He also assured that all the necessary steps will be taken to improve the infrastructure and he also informed that the development works in the said area will be taken up soon & all the genuine demands of the Yuva Rajput Sabha will be addressed to beautify the said vicinity. Deputy Mayor Jammu Baldev Singh Billawaria emphasized the importance of upholding the sanctity of the Maharaja Hari Singh Ji Statue and its surroundings. Furthermore, the Deputy Mayor Jammu highlighted the significance of the Smart City project in enhancing the infrastructure and overall development of Jammu. He stressed the need for a comprehensive approach to maintain and beautify important landmarks, including the Maharaja Hari Singh Ji Statue.
Deputy Mayor Jammu Baldev Singh Billawaria also said that the Jammu Municipal Corporation is committed to develop all the areas of the city of temples. The Deputy Mayor expressed his appreciation for the active participation of organizations like Yuva Rajput Sabha in raising awareness and working for the preservation of Jammu’s rich heritage. The Yuva Rajput Sabha praised and thanked the Deputy Mayor for listening to their demands and taking action against them and said that Baldev Singh Billawaria has been serving as the Deputy Mayor of Jammu with his vast experience in public service, he has been actively involved in various initiatives aimed at the overall development of the city.
