Deputy Superintendent of Police Among Injured in Amarnath Yatra Security Convoy Accident

30-06-2023 : On a Friday morning in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir, an unfortunate accident occurred involving an Amarnath Yatra security convoy vehicle. The incident resulted in injuries to four individuals, including a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), according to the local police.

The accident took place on the Jammu-Srinagar highway near Bali Nallah in Udhampur. It occurred when the security convoy vehicle veered off the road and fell into a drain alongside. The precise cause of the accident is yet to be determined and further investigation is required to establish the exact sequence of events.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Vinod Kumar reported that four individuals sustained injuries in the accident. All of them have been promptly shifted to Udhampur District Hospital for medical treatment.
