Bollywood legend Dharmendra remembered for his cinematic legacy as Mumbai hosts “Celebration of Life” prayer meet

Mumbai, Nov 27 : A heartfelt prayer meet is scheduled in Mumbai this Thursday to honour legendary actor Dharmendra, who passed away on November 24. The event, titled “Celebration of Life,” will be held at a city hotel from 5 pm to 7:30 pm, providing friends, family, colleagues, and fans an opportunity to pay tribute to his illustrious cinematic journey.

The actor’s family shared the announcement through a poster featuring a vintage photograph of Dharmendra, highlighting the event as a celebration of his remarkable life. Bollywood colleagues and fans are expected to attend in large numbers.

Dharmendra had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai due to breathing complications and was on a ventilator. Despite initial signs of recovery, he passed away peacefully on November 24. His final rites were attended by some of Bollywood’s biggest names, including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Salman Khan.

In the days following his passing, a steady stream of celebrities, including Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan, Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan, Asha Parekh, Karisma Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, and Jackky Bhagnani, visited his Juhu residence to pay their respects.

Even in his late 80s, Dharmendra remained active in films, recently appearing in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and Shahid Kapoor’s Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. Fans will also witness his final performance posthumously in Sriram Raghavan’s Ikkis, starring Agastya Nanda, set to release on December 25.

This prayer meet promises to be a heartfelt gathering, celebrating the life and legacy of one of Bollywood’s most beloved icons.
