DM Doda chairs District Registering Authority & DAC on PC&PNDT meeting

Constitutes Sub Committee to examine online application, report in 7 days

DODA, APRIL 11:  A meeting of District Registering Authority under of Clinical Establishments and District Advisory Committee on Pre- Conception and Prenatal Diagnosis Techniques (PC & PNDT) was held under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Doda Vikas Sharma here in mini meeting hall of DC office complex Doda.

The meeting also reviewed the achievements under National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP) in the district.

It was informed that 34 applications have been received online for provisional registration of clinical establishments in the district. The Chairman (DM) directed to constitute a sub committee comprising Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Doda, District Information Officer Doda and one member nominated by CMO, who shall conduct basic exercise and scrutinize the applications received online. “The Committee shall submit its findings before the Registering Authority within seven days for further course of action”, he said.

 The District Magistrate asked the members to follow proper procedure while dealing with applications for grant of provisional registrations. He asked them to devise a proper format for requisitions with all descriptions.

Meanwhile, the DM also chaired a meeting of the District Advisory Committee (DAC) on Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PC&PNDT) Act.

The DC, who is also Chairman of District Advisory Committee, asked to re-designate the committee members in terms of Govt order number 502- HME of 2011. The Committee discussed the means to check the illegal sex determination which is main cause of female  feoticide and imbalanced sex ratio in the district.

The DAC reiterated that awareness among the Health workers and people regarding the Act through workshops, awareness camps and other promotional activities must be carried out to reduce the incidence of female  foeticide.

The meeting was informed that a total of 8 Ultrasound Centres were registered in the district which are all functional.

It was also unanimously resolved that frequent and surprise checking of Ultrasound centre is required by the designated Committee to have a close eye on their activities and control illegal testing.

The DM asked the Committee to take necessary action in case of complaints filed against any diagnostic centres for non-compliance of the Act and cancel the registrations with due public notice.

Besides, the DM also reviewed the achievements under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme, Har Ghar Dastak and Tuberculosis Mukht Panchayats. He directed the concerned to increase the activities and sampling in the district. He asked for effective implementation of the Har Ghar Dastak campaign on the ground by ensuring that the field functionaries visit every house for health survey/ health check up. The field  functionaries must take samples and guide the public on TB disease.

He directed the DTO and CMO to take Block wise review on NTEP and gear up their efforts to make Panchayats of our district  TB free.

The meeting was attended by the CPO Doda, ACP Doda, CMO Doda, Dr Madhu Kapoor AP Gynecology department GMC Doda, DSWO Doda, Dy. SP DAR Doda, DIO Doda, AMO Ayush Doda, MS Associated Hospital GMC Doda and other health officials.
