Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi Advocates for Eco-Friendly Infrastructure in Bangus Valley

06-07-2023 : Minister of State and Chairperson of J&K Waqf Board, Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi, recently visited Bangus Valley in Kupwara district, Jammu and Kashmir. During her visit, she engaged with various public delegations to understand their concerns and issues. Recognizing the immense tourism potential of the region, Dr. Andrabi emphasized the need to develop eco-friendly infrastructure and improve tourist facilities in Bangus Valley.

Bangus Valley, known for its pristine beauty and untouched landscapes, offers a unique and serene experience for tourists. However, the lack of proper infrastructure and amenities has hindered its tourism development. In order to tap into the valley’s potential and attract more visitors, Dr. Andrabi stressed the importance of creating the necessary infrastructure that aligns with eco-friendly practices.

The visit provided Dr. Andrabi with firsthand insights into the challenges faced by the local community and tourists in terms of accommodation, transportation, and other essential facilities.
