Eat Right Initiatives Take Center Stage at BBIA Bhawan Interaction with Food Industry Stakeholders
Jammu, 19-12-2024: Sh. Hashmat Ali Yatoo (IAS), Commissioner, Food and Drugs Administration J&K visited BBIA Bhawan today to attend One day interaction cum workshop on Eat Right Initiatives & FSS Regulation for Food Business Fraternity & interacted with members units, gathering from ICDS & various Departments. He also inaugurated the stall displayed by various Departments including Agriculture Department, Horticulture Department, ICDS, Social Welfare Department & stall displaced by BBIA Member Units including Sarveshwar Overseas Mills, Nav Bharat Flour Mill, VKC Nuts, Farm Fresh Milk.
Sh. Lalit Mahajan President, welcomed Commissioner, Food and Drugs Administration J&K, Officials of Food Safety Department & BBIA Members in the Food Business Operator Meet & draw the kind attention of Commissioner in respect of various issues related to Industrial Sector like Road Freight Subsidy to explore the Domestic as well as International Market of various Food & Pharma products being manufactured by Industrial Units of J&K.
The gathering was also addressed by Sh. Ravnish Gulati, Sh. Gagan Jain, Sh. Archit Puri, from Industrial Units, Sh. Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, Jt. Commissioner, Food Safety Department J&K, Sh. Madan Magotra, Dy. Commissioner Food Safety Department, Jammu.
During the course of discussions, Sh. Hashmat Ali Yatoo (IAS), Commissioner, Food and Drugs Administration J&K assured the Members that Department will work to resolve the issues related to of Industrial Sector on priority basis.
The meeting was also attended by Sh. Satish Koul, President of J & K Pharmaceutical Association & Resident Director, Emcure Pharmaceutical Ltd, Sh. Ajay Langer Vice President, BBIA, Sh. Viraaj Malhotra General Secretary BBIA, Sh. Pankaj Soni Dy. Commissioner Food Safety Department, Jammu, Sh. Rajan Kapoor, Assistant Commissioner, Food Safety Department, Jammu & Large Number of Food Processing Manufacturing Units along with their Employees.
A camp was also organized to register new vendors & licensee was distributed to new vendors by Commissioner, Food and Drugs Administration J&K.
