Fond Memories and Joyous Moments: Students of Dogra Law College Organize Grand Farewell Fiesta
Jammu, 01-08-2023 : To bid adieu to the passing out Semester, Students of Dogra Law College, Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana, Samba organized Farewell function in the College Auditorium with pomp and show. The evening was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers to reminisce joyous moments.
The proceedings of the programme began with the lighting of traditional lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana and the presentation of various cultural items. Colourful programme including Punjabi Dance, Solo Dance, Rap and Group Songs and Title giving ceremony was presented by the students, which was highly applauded by the audience.
Dr. Avdhesh Pratap, Principal, Dogra Law College, presented welcome address he thanked all the dignitaries for attending this function. He also thanked all the host students for participating in the event. Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, Former Minister and Chairman, Dogra Educational Trust, presided as the Chief Guest of Farewell party. During his valuable address, he welcomed and congratulate and he motivate students and said that this day is not an end but signifies beginning of a new life and that their bond with Dogra Law College will not end here. They will always remain ex alumni of Dogra Law College. Law graduate will bifurcate in different fields like legal practice, judiciary, Civil services and in diverse career options. He advised students, that hard work, dedication and determination is the only key to success.
Dr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary Dogra Educational Trust, also motivated the students to perform their exceptional best in all future activities, and uphold their core values and congratulated the faculty and the students for putting up the cultural extravaganza for the outgoing batch.
Speaking on the occasion Director, Dogra Group of Colleges & Campus Development Prof. Darshana Sharma, wished good luck to the passing out batch in their future endeavours and motivated the students to work hard to achieve their goals.
Souvenirs were also distributed among the passing out students of the session. The President of the Student Council delivered speech expressing gratitude to their mentors and teachers for their invaluable contribution in making the journey a memorable one .This was followed by the cake cutting ceremony. Mr Mohd. Akhyar and Ms Pallvi Magotra were adjudged as Mr DLC and Ms DLC respectively. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks presented by Mehak Bhasir, Student of Dogra Law College.
