Former minister and JKPCC working president Raman Bhalla warns BJP to face public anger
JKPCC working president slams BJP for allotting Flats/Land to non-state subjects
08-05-2023 : Raman Bhalla, former minister and working president of JKPCC, has criticized the BJP for its anti-people policies and stated that the party cannot run away from the public anger that it will inevitably face. Bhalla spoke to several deputations at his residence in Jammu, where he referred to the BJP’s allotment of lands to non-state subjects and the allocation of low-income group flats to non-local laborers. He pointed out that local poor people have been deprived of housing facilities and the people of Jammu feel let down and betrayed. Bhalla stated that the BJP has failed to address the concerns of the people raised by Congress from time to time and is not sincere towards the urges and aspirations of the people in this part of the country. Bhalla called eligibility to jobs and ownership of lands as the most emotive and sensitive issue and said that one after another decision raises serious questions on the intentions of the BJP and the Centre.
Bhalla strongly resented the decision of the Jammu Kashmir Housing Board to allot flats to non-locals in Jammu and said that it shows the real intentions of the BJP, which is eager to dislodge locals from Jammu. He urged the Union Government to hold Assembly elections in J&K without further delay, stating that selecting their own representatives to serve in the government is a fundamental democratic right that must not be denied to the people.
