29-07-2022: Under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Digital J&K Week organized a Singing Competition and Symposium, respectively with great enthusiasm and exuberance in which number of students took part in both the competition. They exhibited their nationalistic feelings and love for the country through different patriotic songs as well as by speaking on the significance of celebrating our independence. While participating in the symposium, students laid their focus on the inculcation of nationalistic values such as brotherhood, unity, love, harmony, etc. Through the melody of her voice, Palma Devi of Sem-4th clinched the first position singing, whereas Arti Devi of Sem-2nd and Santosh Kumari of Sem-4th shared 2nd and 3rd position, respectively. On the other hand, Varinder Singh of Sem-6th got the first position in the symposium, and Rabia Sultana and Surjeet Singh of Sem-6th secured 2nd and 3rd positions, respectively.
While addressing the students, the principal of the college Dr. Bhavnaish Chand asked the students to keep the nation and humanity always at the forefront. He further advised the students to be amicable, benevolent, and sincere to everyone irrespective of religion, region, creed, or race because only a sense of oneness and inclusivity can lead us to build a prosperous and peaceful nation. The program was organized under the supervision of Prof. Vijay Kumar. The vote of thanks was presented by Dr. PP Singh.
