GDC Ramnagar celebrates Gandhi Jayanti

02-10-2022: In continuation to the series of activities pertaining to the Clean India 2.0 campaign, GDC Ramnagar celebrated the birth anniversary of Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Udhay Bhanu, Staff, and students paid rich floral tributes to the man who was a great follower of truth and non-violence.

The Principal of the College, in this address to students, explained in detail the life history and contributions of Gandhiji to propagate peace for maintaining common harmony in society. He advised the students to follow his teachings which are quite relevant in the present scenario. After that, a cleanliness drive was launched on the campus, and students were also asked to aware the people in their surroundings of the importance of cleanliness. They were also suggested to go for the cleanliness of religious places, tourist places, and other public utilities in their surroundings vis-à-vis to aware the visiting tourists to keep these places free from plastics and other such materials which make an unhygienic environment.

Further, they were also informed about the schedule of activities to be carried out in this calendar month pertaining to the clean India 2.0 campaign. A large number of NSS volunteers, NCC cadets, and other students participated in the event. Besides Prof. Suresh Kumar Dogra, Prof. Aditya Sharma and Prof. Ritika Mahajan were also present.
