GOI more concerned about POJK residents than POJK refugees-Ravinder

Jammu, Sept 10- Senior Congress Leader & former MLC Mr Ravinder Sharma has said that BJP government at the centre is more concerned about the welfare of POJK residents than the 14 lac displaced community from POJK,for nothing material was done to resolve their genuine issues

Reacting to the statement of Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh in which he talked of POJK residents, stating one day they would voluntarily join us, Mr. Ravinder Sharma said that the BJP government did nothing to resolve the pending issues of the POJK displaced community settled here and in other parts of the country during ten years in power.

BJP had made tall promises to them before Lok Sabha and assembly elections in 2014  including the reservation of eight assembly seats, the implementation of full financial package of Rupee 30 lakh to each family besides other components.

Instead of fulfilling the commitments to them & solving their issues, UT administration has further snatched their rights over allotted lands and power to sell, etc, which is very unfortunate.

Sharma during his tours of Sunderbani & adjoining areas of Kalakote and Nowshera areas, asked party cadres to work for the success of coalition candidates to oust BJP which has caused suffering to different sections of society. People were evicted from lands, rights erased from revenue records, and caused numerous hardships to them.

He said BJP only did lip service and aroused their emotions and secured votes but did nothing. He questioned the commitment to the suffering displaced communities of POJK,KPs and internally displaced, but their manifesto this time has nothing substantial for them.
He asked the centre government to fulfill the commitments to the POJK DPS instead of exploiting them.
