New Delhi, Aug 5: The Centre is stepping up the use of advanced technology to strengthen the security of public examinations, with artificial intelligence expected to play a central role in detecting irregularities and preventing paper leaks.
Officials said digital monitoring systems, AI-powered analytics and enhanced verification mechanisms are being integrated into examination processes to improve transparency and identify suspicious activities in real time. The move is part of broader reforms aimed at restoring confidence in competitive examinations following a series of paper leak controversies.
Authorities are also expanding the use of biometric authentication, encrypted question paper distribution and data driven monitoring to reduce opportunities for malpractice. These measures are expected to improve oversight from the preparation stage to the declaration of results.
Education experts believe that artificial intelligence can help identify unusual behavioural patterns, flag coordinated attempts at cheating and strengthen cybersecurity surrounding examination infrastructure.
