Inquiry Launched by School Education Department Over Wrong Question Paper Distribution in JKBOSE Exams
Jammu, 20-03-2024: The School Education Department has taken cognizance of the incident involving the distribution of incorrect question papers by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) to Class 12 students. In response, a two-member committee has been formed to investigate the circumstances surrounding this error. The committee, consisting of the Directors of School Education for Kashmir and Jammu, has been tasked with probing the distribution of 11th class question papers to 12th-class students during the Board examination held on March 20, 2024.
Its mandate also includes investigating the reasons behind the cancellation of the examination and assigning responsibility for any negligence at the supervisory or administrative levels. The committee has been granted the authority to co-opt additional officers, such as Chief Education Officers, as necessary, and is expected to submit its findings to the Administration within seven days.
Following the discovery of this oversight, where students in various centers across the Valley received exam papers intended for Class 11, the affected examination was promptly canceled. Authorities have assured that new dates for the rescheduled exams will be announced shortly.
