J&K Class 12 Results 2026: 85% Students Clear Annual Exams
Syllabus relaxation of 15% helps students amid academic disruptions across J&K and Ladakh.
JAMMU, Jan 14: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Wednesday announced the results of the annual regular Class 12 examinations, with at least 85 percent of students successfully clearing the exams. Officials confirmed that 85 percent of candidates passed, reflecting strong overall performance.
The board also reported that 84 percent of students qualified the Class 10 annual exams.
Notably, JKBOSE had implemented a 15 percent syllabus relaxation for Class 10, 11, and 12 examinations this year. According to a notification by the Director of Academics, this decision followed recommendations from the DSEK and DSEJ and feedback from stakeholders. The move aimed to mitigate the impact of delayed academic sessions and disruptions caused by heat waves, torrential rains, cloudbursts, and floods.
The notification stated: “As approved by the competent authority, prospective eligible students appearing in Class 10th, 11th, and 12th in the ensuing annual regular 2025 examination in Kashmir Division, winter zone areas of Jammu Division, and the Union Territory of Ladakh, shall attempt 85 percent of the syllabus, which will correspond to 100 percent marks, effectively providing a 15 percent relaxation.”
This initiative ensured that students were assessed fairly despite the challenging academic conditions, helping maintain continuity and confidence in the education system across the Union Territory.
