Jammu : On Thursday, the Jammu and Kashmir Congress criticized Ghulam Nabi Azad, a former member, for his recent comments praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that they contradict his past speeches in Parliament. Azad, a seasoned politician, and former Union minister, launched a scathing attack on the Congress party while lauding Modi on Wednesday. He accused the Congress of being managed by a group of inexperienced sycophants and claimed that it is still run by remote control. The J&K Congress spokesperson stated that Azad’s new stance was a change of heart that began when his long tenure in the Rajya Sabha was ending.
The spokesperson claimed that Azad is only exposing himself by praising Modi and that he is contradicting himself, considering his past criticism of the Modi government for indulging in politics of vendetta. The spokesperson also criticized Azad for praising a leader who disbanded, divided, and downgraded J&K while abrogating its rights to land and jobs, which he now claims to be fighting for. The spokesperson further added that Azad’s comments reveal his true colors, and the more he speaks, the more he will expose himself to the people. The Congress leadership’s generosity towards Azad for a long time is something he should not forget, the spokesperson concluded.
