Jammu, 26-03-2025: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has officially rescheduled the holiday for Shab-i-Qadr, moving it from March 27 to March 28, 2025. The decision was announced through a government order, modifying the previously issued directives under Government Order No. 2193-JK(GAD) of 2024 and Government Order No. 2194-JK(GAD) of 2024, both dated December 29, 2024.
The revised order states that the holiday will now be observed on Friday, March 28, instead of Thursday, March 27, across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. This adjustment aligns with the lunar calendar and religious observances associated with Shab-i-Qadr, a night of immense spiritual significance in Islam, traditionally observed in the last ten nights of Ramadan.
