J&K UT Government’s “THANA DIWAS” bridges gap between Police and Public

District Police Reasi organizes "THANA DIWAS" to listen and address public grievances

24-02-2023: “π™π™ƒπ˜Όπ™‰π˜Ό π˜Ώπ™„π™’π˜Όπ™Ž” an initiative of the Government of J&K UT to bridge the gap between the Police and Public and also to listen and redress the grievances of common masses organised at P/S Reasi/Katra/Ransoo, PP Tulli Banna/Shajroo, Dharmari and Panassa by District Police Reasi.
The programme was chaired by Sh. Amit Gupta, JKPS, Sr. Superintendent of Police Reasi along with Dy.SP Hqrs Reasi Sh Neeraj Padyar-JKPS and SHO P/S Reasi Insp. Vijay Sharma at P/S Reasi, SSP Katra Sh. Amit Bhasin-JKPS along with SDPO Katra Sh. Surinder Singh-JKPS and SHO P/S Katra Insp. Nishant Gupta chaired the programme at P/S Katra, SDPO Arnas Sh. Prithpal Singh chaired the programme at Dharmari, SDPO Mahore Sh. Chhabil Singh-JKPS chaired the programme at PP Tulli Banna, whereas SHO Mahore, Arnas, and Ransoo organized the events in their Jurisdiction.
Civil Society members and respectable persons of the areas remained present on the occasions.
During the Programme, participants highlighted various issues of public importance, and they were assured that their genuine grievances pertaining to the Police will be resolved on priority and that of Civil Administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal.
While speaking on the occasion, SSP Reasi Sh Amit Gupta-JKPS reiterated that policing at grass root level in the District would be revamped to enhance the proficiencies of the cops and to develop confidence among the people.
Referring to social crime SSP added that people should come forward to strengthen the hands of the Police and eradicate the menace of drug abuse and other social crime from society.
Speaking on the occasion, public representatives and participants were told to be extra vigilant during festival days and keep an eye on the activities of suspicious elements in the society and immediately share details of any suspicious person or activity in their area to the nearest police establishments or PCR and helpline numbers 01991244956 /District anti-drug helpline no. 9070907017.
