JKBOSE Class 10 Results Announced: 84% Students Pass Exams

Over 94,000 students appeared; 15% syllabus relaxation implemented due to academic disruptions.

Jammu, Jan 14: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Wednesday announced the results of the Class 10 annual regular exams, with an overall pass percentage of 84.04%.

Over 94,000 students appeared for the exams, which commenced on November 3, 2025, across 994 examination centres set up in the Kashmir division. Of the total examinees, 68,804 students were from ten districts in Kashmir, 25,224 from eight districts in Jammu’s winter zone, and students from Kargil (660) and Leh (95) also participated.

Syllabus Relaxation Eases Exam Pressure
This year, JKBOSE had announced a 15% syllabus reduction for Class 10, 11, and 12 exams following recommendations from the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) and Jammu (DSEJ). The decision addressed disruptions caused by delayed academic sessions, extreme heat waves, torrential rains, cloudbursts, and floods.

According to a notification by JKBOSE’s Director of Academics, students were required to attempt 85% of the syllabus, which would be evaluated as 100% marks, effectively providing a 15% relaxation for all eligible students in the Kashmir division, Jammu winter zones, and the Union Territory of Ladakh.

The announcement comes as JKBOSE continues efforts to ensure fair evaluation and ease academic pressures for students facing challenging circumstances this year.
