JKPSC, JKSSB Collected Over ₹48 Crore in Application Fees in Two Years, Govt Tells Assembly
Govt informs Assembly that recruitment bodies gathered over ₹48 crore from aspirants in FY 2023–24 and 2024–25
J&K, Feb 09 : The Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday informed the Legislative Assembly that the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) and the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) together collected more than ₹48 crore in application fees over the past two financial years.
The disclosure came in a written reply to a question by PDP MLA Waheed-ur-Rehman Para, with the government presenting a detailed year wise breakdown of the revenue generated by the two recruitment agencies.
For the financial year 2023–24, JKPSC received ₹7.39 crore from candidates, while JKSSB collected ₹7.09 crore. The following financial year, 2024–25, saw a notable increase in collections. JKPSC generated ₹10.50 crore, whereas JKSSB recorded a significantly higher intake of ₹23.88 crore.
Combined figures show that JKPSC amassed ₹17.90 crore across the two years, while JKSSB accounted for ₹30.98 crore. The government indicated that the substantial revenue reflects the high participation of job seekers in recruitment examinations conducted across the Union Territory.
