Kashmir Leaders Say Mamdani’s Progressive Vision Triumphs Over Trump’s Hate Campaign

Kashmir, Nov 6 : Zohran Mamdani’s historic victory in the New York City mayoral election has drawn praise from political leaders in Kashmir, who hailed it as a triumph of progressive values over divisive politics.

National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah congratulated Mamdani, calling his win a powerful reminder that rejecting hate and embracing humanity helps build enduring bridges. “Zohran Mamdani’s stunning victory is not merely a personal milestone but a clarion call for collective progress,” Abdullah said. “His election sends a message of unity and compassion.”

PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti also lauded Mamdani, noting that his victory as New York City’s 111th and first Muslim mayor represents a historic milestone. She highlighted that Mamdani’s unwavering commitment to justice and progressive vision overcame a fierce hate driven campaign, including attacks by former US President Donald Trump.

Both leaders emphasized that Mamdani’s triumph signals hope in the face of rising global divisions and stands as a testament to the power of inclusivity, justice, and equality.
