KCC&I elects new Executive Committee; Akib Chaya gets highest 453 votes

21-02-2023 : On Tuesday, the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCC&I) held elections for its new executive committee, with 42 candidates vying for the position. Of the 42 candidates, 21 emerged victorious in the poll. Akib Chaya received the highest number of votes with 453 in his favour, followed by Umar Nazir Tibatbaqal with 444 votes.

The newly elected executive committee includes Aashaq Hussain Shangloo, Faiz Ahmad Bakshi, Javid Ahmad Bhat, Amir Manzoor, Muzaffar Majid Jan, Ashfaq Ahmad Zahgeer, Farooq Ahamd Kuthoo, Ghulam Nabi Bhat, Fayaz Ahmad Punjabi, Altaf Ahmad Tramboo, Jagmohan Singh Raina, Mohammad Lateif Bhat, Siah Mohammad Ibrahim, Suhail Jan, Zubair Mahajan, Touseef Ahmad Bhat, Feroz Ahmad Bisati, Showkat Khan and Zahoor Hussain Alamgir. Sources indicate that the newly elected executive committee will elect its body within a day.
