J&K leaders recall senior politician’s legacy, convey condolences to Pawar family
Jammu, Jan 28: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday expressed profound grief over the demise of senior leader Ajit Pawar, terming his death a major loss to public life.
In a condolence message, LG Manoj Sinha said he was deeply shocked by the passing of Ajit Pawar, remembering him as a widely respected leader who remained dedicated to public welfare and served Maharashtra with distinction. He extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and admirers, and prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also conveyed his sorrow, recalling his long association with Ajit Pawar dating back to their college days in Bombay. He described Pawar as a capable administrator and an astute political organiser whose absence would be keenly felt across the political spectrum.
Omar Abdullah, along with his father, offered condolences to Sharad Pawar, Supriya Sule and other members of the Pawar family, expressing solidarity with them in this moment of grief.
