Massive Fire Engulfs Sopore Industrial Estate, Causing Extensive Damage

SRINAGAR, Nov 13: A large-scale fire erupted in the Industrial Estate of Sopore, located in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district, on Monday, leading to significant property damage across the area. The blaze, which spread quickly within the industrial complex, severely damaged several double-storey structures, according to initial reports.

Eyewitnesses described a swift response by Fire and Emergency Services teams, who, with the assistance of local residents, worked relentlessly to contain the flames and prevent them from spreading further. Firefighters battled through challenging conditions to control the blaze, which posed a considerable threat to the surrounding facilities within the industrial estate.

The cause of the fire remains undetermined as officials continue their investigation. “Our teams are actively working on-site to extinguish any remaining flames and conduct a thorough assessment of the overall damage,” stated an official from the Fire and Emergency Services department. Authorities have assured that a detailed report will follow to determine both the origin of the fire and the exact extent of the losses incurred.
