‘Mirchi Ashiqi Adda’ culminated with a Live Music Taxi for Jammuites at Volkswagen Jammu
15-02-2023 : Mirchi Jammu has always added spark to the lives of Jammuites by celebrating occasions in its own unique ways and celebrating the long valentines week, Mirchi 98.3 organised a Live Music Taxi to culminate their two weeks long activity “Mirchi Ashiqui Adda” in collaboration with Volkswagen Jammu to celebrate the essence of Love amongst people of all age groups. The jammuites were asked to tell their crispy and crazy love stories on radio and were then finalized for a special valentines party with the Mirchi RJs held at Volkswagen Jammu, Greater Kailash. The famous YouTube sensation couple of jammu Yashika and Sanyam Pandoh and very popular tattooist couple cum makeup artist Divya Kapoor and Gourav Jamwal were invited as the Celebrity couple at the event where a lot of fun games were organised for the winners of radio contests.
The main objective of the activity was to highlight the power of true Love and how over a period of time the ways to express love, the places to meet your loved ones, the kind of gifts you give has changed, especially over the last few years. With special focus on the lifeline of Jammu ‘Jammu di Matador’ which has experienced different love stories while moving from one spot of jammu to another, Mirchi RJs, RJ Rohit, RJ Chaitanya, RJ Tani crash landed on these ashiqui addas where they interacted with couples who shared their beautiful stories.
The RJs even went outdoors, covering Bohri, Paarade, Channi, Kunjwani and many other locations to interact with the matador drivers and conductors, asking weirdest experiences and moments they had witnessed in their matadors, a few were reluctant at first but later on narrated their best ever stories. Munna who drives on Channi route told Mirchi, ‘how couples used to pay a little extra to him so that they could ignore them while they miss their drop points and keep travelling for hours in his matador’. Raju, who is a conductor, told the funniest experience, how a couple was once seen fighting with the passenger as they were adamant to sit on the last seat which the passenger wasn’t eager to get up from.
To promote the activity through social media, the inhouse rockstar of team mirchi Shen-b aka Shayan Bhat also composed an anthem song for this activity, which received a lot of love from jammu and crossed over 5 lakh views on Instagram, the lyrics of the same were penned by Mirchi Abhishek.
