Srinagar, Feb 6: A series of Srinagar fire incidents on Friday left at least nine houses damaged and a bakery unit destroyed, officials said.
One of the fires erupted in Shampora, located in the Nowhatta area, and rapidly spread to nearby structures due to the locality’s dense housing pattern. Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded swiftly and managed to bring the flames under control, though multiple homes sustained significant damage.
In a separate episode, another blaze broke out at a bakery unit in Budshah Nagar, Natipora. Officials confirmed that the establishment was completely gutted before firefighters could fully contain the situation.
Authorities are assessing the extent of the losses, and further details are awaited.
