NASA’s Artemis II Set to Make Historic Return to the Moon
First crewed lunar mission in over 50 years marks a major leap in deep space exploration.
India, Apr 01 : In a landmark moment for space exploration, NASA has approved the launch of its Artemis II mission, scheduled for April 1, 2026. This mission will send four astronauts on a 10-day journey around the Moon, marking humanity’s first crewed lunar mission since the Apollo era.
The mission will test life support systems and spacecraft capabilities beyond low Earth orbit, using the Orion capsule and Space Launch System. It also represents a crucial step toward future lunar landings and long-term human presence on the Moon.
With improved safety systems and successful resolution of earlier technical issues, Artemis II is expected to provide valuable insights for upcoming missions, including Artemis III, which aims to land astronauts on the lunar surface.
