Nawazuddin Siddiqui Reveals He Received Around 200 Scripts After Breakthrough
The actor says the success of Gangs of Wasseypur 2 brought a flood of opportunities, but he chose not to accept projects hastily.
MUMBAI, Sep 14: Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has recalled the overwhelming response he received after the success of Gangs of Wasseypur 2, saying around 200 scripts and blank cheques were once placed before him.
Siddiqui said the sudden recognition following his performance as Faizal Khan transformed his professional life and brought a huge number of offers from the film industry.
Despite the opportunities, the actor revealed that he did not immediately accept the projects that came his way. Instead, he chose to be selective about his roles and waited for work that matched his interests.
The actor’s recollection highlights the turning point in his career and his decision to prioritise meaningful performances over simply accepting a large number of offers.
