Omar’s remark on EVMs’ integrity vindicated BJP’s stance, left Congress red-faced: Kavinder

Jammu: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta today said that the recent remarks of National Conference leader and J&K CM Omar Abdullah on the integrity of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) have fully vindicated the BJP’s long-standing position on the issue and left the Congress party embarrassed.
In his statement, Kavinder Gupta said “Omar Abdullah’s candid admission that EVMs remain the same regardless of the election result is a clear validation of the BJP’s position. For years, the BJP has advocated for the integrity of EVMs, and now, even opposition leaders like Omar are acknowledging the truth.”
He emphasized that the BJP has long stood firm on the integrity of EVMs, advocating their transparency and fairness in the electoral process.
The senior BJP leader slammed the Congress for its repeated allegations and baseless claims regarding the integrity of EVMs, particularly after electoral setbacks. He said, “Congress leaders have been quick to blame the EVMs every time they lose, but Omar’s statement has left them red-faced. It’s high time they accept defeat gracefully instead of making excuses.”
The former deputy Chief Minister further stressed that EVMs are a crucial tool in ensuring the democratic process remains transparent and fair. He called for an end to the Congress party’s continuous campaign against the machines and urged them to focus on improving their own internal processes and addressing their political shortcomings.
