Pakistan behind ghastly killings in Gagangir, Shopian: Kavinder
‘Time to rise above politics for united fight against terrorism’
JAMMU,21-10-2024: Senior BJP leader and former deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta on Monday condemned the ghastly terror attacks in Gagangir (Ganderbal District) and Shopian district in the last three days and accused Pakistan of designing these despicable acts of violence.
The BJP stalwart leader was addressing a meeting of BJP leaders here at party headquarters. He said that whoever has carried out these horrendous acts, killing seven people in the Gagangir area along the Srinagar-Leh highway in Ganderbal District and one migrant worker from Bihar in the Shopian district, will have to pay a big price as the government will track them down and ensure that they get a befitting punishment under law of the land.
He said that Pakistan is in dilemma because of PM Narendra Modi’s successful endeavours in J&K especially Kashmir in thriving democracy and that is the reason behind the rogue country’s involvement in orchestrating such cowardly terror attacks through its stooges in the Valley. He said that it is crucial that the stakeholders in J&K including all political parties should rise above the politics and stand collectively like a rock against those trying to disrupt peace.
He also assured that the security forces will track down the perpetrators of these terror strikes and will teach them the lesson of life like in the earlier cases of terrorism. He also expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased persons and prayed for early recovery of those injured in the Sunday evening attack.
