PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti vacates Govt accommodation in Anantnag

08-12-2022 : Mehbooba Mufti, the head of the PDP, left the government-provided residence she had been living in for more than a week in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. According to officials, Mufti, who was one of the eight former parliamentarians to get a notice, removed her stuff from the bungalow in the morning.

They said that the former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir and South Kashmir MP paid off her rent obligations before leaving the property.

She has relocated to her sister’s home, officials claim. However, security agencies have termed the location of the residence unsafe in view of her political stature.

Earlier, Mufti had vacated her high-security official bungalow in Gupkar area here after getting a notice from the authorities
